Oberursel, Mai 17, 2010 - With three new resorts the hotel brand SENTIDO Hotels & Resorts will now also be represented in Tunisia. The destinations include Tabarka (SENTIDO Tabarka Beach Resort), Djerba (SENTIDO Djerba Beach) and Hammamet (SENTIDO Phenicia). With the SENTIDO Tabarka Beach Resort, the brand will be opening up a virtually untouched vacation region in the northwest of the country, reminiscent of the Black Forest in Germany, while concurrently offering a sensational underwater world with handsome corals. The “Concept of the Senses” will be implemented in all the new resorts.
The New SENTIDO Destinations: Djerba, Hammamet and Tabarka
With the SENTIDO Tabarka Beach Resort, the hotel brand will be expanding its catalogue to include a majestic property in the virtually untouched “green” northwest of Tunisia. The expansive beach hotel is surrounded by a pine forest, has 255 rooms and suites at its disposal – also including a Presidential Suite – distributed among a main building and smaller villas. The designer restaurant welcomes diners with an exquisite cuisine before the evening ushers out the day in grand style in the casino, a cocktail lounge or at an all-star show. Further highlights include the Wellness Area with a thalasso therapy center and facilities where guests can enjoy the Tunisian bath culture. Golfers will get their money’s worth on the hotel’s own 18-hole golf course. It ranks as one of the handsomest in Tunisia – nestled in a picturesque countryside – between the coast and the foothills of the Kroumirie Mountains.
The SENTIDO Djerba Beach is a complex constructed in typical Tunisian style some 25 kilometers from the airport. The prominent domed building is reminiscent of the historical villages of southern Tunisia. Dominated by near eastern flair, the hotel has a restaurant, a café, two cocktail lounges, an indoor and outdoor pool, a theatre, a number of athletic facilities, a relaxation zone with a sauna, massage and thalasso applications. Desert tours, boat rides or quad tours through dried-out riverbeds provide plenty of fun and adventure.
Surrounded by a garden landscape, the SENTIDO Phenicia is not far from downtown Hammamet. Tastefully decorated, modern rooms with balconies or terraces, main, theme and à la carte restaurants, a Moorish café and six cocktail lounges all form part of the unit. Active guests can enjoy themselves in the outdoor pool, surfing, playing tennis, riding or practicing archery – people in quest of peace and quiet can relax in the wellness zone. Immediately adjoining the hotel there is a golf course. The highlight for movie fans: visiting the Tatttouine – a film set from “Star Wars”.
The SENTIDO Hotels & Resorts can be booked on the Internet portal www.sentidohotels.com or from travel providers Thomas Cook Reisen and Neckermann Reisen.
